Kahunas Bar and Grill on Deerfield Beach is a good place to go for some laid-back fun.

It's a quirky beach-themed place with broken surfborads on the walls and great frozen drinks for the hot summer days and nights.

Thursday nights there's live music that's pretty decent as far as live bands at bars go.

Most times that I have gone I've liked that it's seemed like a local scene, although during the summer and spring break times the tourists do tend to invade the locale.
